Day trip review! Our first dressed Residential Park Home for Harbur!

Comments from Emma – Interior Designer

What was it like to see your first Harbur Residential Park Home sited and your interiors brought to life?

Absolutely incredible. Seeing everyone's hard work all come together makes me incredibly proud to be a part of such a skilled and knowledgeable team. The quality really shows through and from the moment you step inside the front door, it feels like home.

What inspired you to choose this interior for the home?

This was the first interior I have designed for Harbur Park & Leisure Homes and our best seller. We are an eco-conscious company and I really wanted to emphasise that with this concept. Using Plants and natural materials is very important to me, from cork to jute, these materials are sustainable and are the driving force in this design.

Any tips on propping homes?

It's all down to personal taste, no matter your budget, if you pick a few stand-out items that make you happy then that really does show through. Everyone says that lighting is key in any room, which is true, but plants can make a huge difference in how a home looks and feels. From forest greens to vibrant pinks, plants and flowers do give that perfect finishing touch.

Comments from Samantha Baylis – Marketing Manager

What was it like seeing Harbur Residential Park Home in situ for the first time?

First, ditto in what Emma Said, we've got a fantastic team, and it's been awesome to see their hard work come together! I know my way around a park home or two – but with Harbur Park and Leisure Homes their is a difference, our homes are constructed with SIPs so I was interested to see if the home felt different and it didn't disappoint. As soon as I stepped inside, I could tell this is an exceptionally solid build, and with the smooth plaster walls, there is no way that this felt like other park homes, more like bricks and mortar and with all the added luxuries and stand out features, such as the lighting in the dining area and bedrooms, the Butlers kitchen sink, 3-in-1 instant hot water tap, Mirostone worktops coupled with neutral sage green units the list goes on; Emma's got good taste and has done an outstanding job making sure everything looks on point. The best part about all of this is how energy efficient these homes are; customers save so much money thanks to the SIPS build, they can enjoy extra money in their pocket with lower heating bills. Not to mention using less energy, we are all doing our bit to reduce our carbon footprint.

How was lunch?

Well let’s just say Emma’s Hotel Chocolate Velvetiser is now an essential part of our prop pack wherever we go. It's not often you get to experience lunch in your own manufactured home and I did feel at home and utterly spoilt, I just love the lighting, the cosy electric fireplace and feature wall. The architectural details of this 40ft x 20ft space makes this room seem bigger brighter with the addition of full length feature windows and high vaulted ceiling throughout, I can imagine lots of family gatherings in this very social open space.

It's been an honour capturing the fantastic work the Team have done on this home –  and would encourage anyone looking to purchase a park home or holiday lodge to visit our factory and see the quality that goes into all our builds by our experienced production team.
